The City Hall of Jacobina, a municipality in the Chapada Diamantina region, announced that it will not carry out any act during São João promoted with public resources. The decision was motivated by the State of Emergency decree in the municipality, published in January of this year.
The municipal management highlighted that any event carried out by private initiative will have any and all support from the City Hall and municipal bodies.
The State of Emergency was decreed on January 3 of this year, under NR 01/2023, with an extension through Decree NR 138/2023 of 04/24/2023, for another 60 (sixty) days from 05/03/2023 .
After the end of said Decree, the City Hall will evaluate the possibility of holding other festivities in our cultural calendar.
