A couple insulted and attacked two police officers on Saturday at a shopping center in Bertrange, the grand-ducal police reported in their usual bulletin.
The altercation ensued when the man and woman, who were said to be visibly irritated, started harassing other customers.
When the police intervened, the couple became aggressive, with the woman hurling insults and grabbing one of the officers by the neck. The man punched the other cop in the face.
After reinforcements arrived, the authorities immobilized the couple and took them to the police station, having filed a complaint against the man and woman for insurrection.
