More than 31,000 companies were born at the end of April 2023

The number of companies created in Morocco reached 31,133 companies during the first four months of this year, according to the Moroccan Office for Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).

The number of legal persons amounts to 21,024 companies and that of natural persons to 10,109 companies, according to the general dashboard of OMPIC.

According to the same source, the sectoral classification of companies created is dominated by the trade sector (36.77%), followed by construction and public works (BTP) and real estate activities (18.42%), miscellaneous services ( 17.63%), transport (8.23%), industries (6.97%), hotels and restaurants (6.24%), the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector (2 .99%), agriculture and fishing (1.76%) and financial activities (0.99%).

By legal form, 63.4% of the companies created are single-member limited liability companies (SARLAU), 36.3% limited liability companies (SARL), 0.2% public limited companies (SA) and 0. 1% of General Partnerships (SNC).

By region, Casablanca-Settat monopolizes 9,091 creations, ahead of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (4,672), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (3,765), Marrakech-Safi (3,153), Fez-Meknes (2,311), Oriental ( 1,981), Souss-Massa (1,970), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (1,467), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (1,061), Draâ-Tafilalet (759), Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (682) and Guelmim Oued Noun (221) .
