Portugal thrashes England and is in the ‘socks’ of the European

In the semi-finals, the national roller hockey team will face France again.

The Portuguese roller hockey team qualified today for the semi-finals of the European Championship, after thrashing England by 15-2, in the quarter-finals of the competition taking place in Catalonia.

Rafa (04, 37 and 46 minutes), Gonçalo Alves (06), João Rodrigues (14, 17, 30, 30 and 38), Henrique Magalhães (23 and 35), João Souto (32 and 33), Nuno Santos (41) and Telmo Pinto (49) scored the goals for Portugal, while Jack Tucker (18) and Owen Norris (33) scored the English goals.

In the semi-finals, scheduled for Friday, the national team will meet France again, with which they crossed paths in the group stage, after the French beat Switzerland (5-0) in the ‘quarter’.

The European Roller Hockey Championship runs until Saturday in Sant Sadurni d’Anoia, Catalonia.
