In accordance with the High Instructions of King Mohammed VI, Supreme Chief and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, an advanced teaching program has been developed for next year to be in line with the evolution of the strategic and operational context, affirmed, Thursday in Kenitra, the Director of the Royal College of Higher Military Education (CREMS).
In a speech delivered on the occasion of the graduation ceremony of the 23rd promotion of the Higher Defense Course and the 57th promotion of the General Staff Course, chaired by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, the director of CREMS specified that the Higher Course of Defense will be strengthened through multidisciplinary operations with a view to facing new threats and meeting the challenges linked to emerging technologies, in addition to the study of mechanisms for military cooperation with NATO and the Union African.
It is also a question of expanding the Course with new modules relating to the development of the spirit of analysis and strategic thinking, with particular emphasis on leadership in its strategic dimension, he added.
Regarding the General Staff Course, continued the director of CREMS, the pillars of operational training will also be consolidated for the benefit of the various components of the armed forces in their tactical section in order to be constantly in step with the changes that know the battlefields and meet the needs of operational centers in terms of skills.
On this occasion, Brigadier General, Director of CREMS, welcomed the royal decision relating to the creation of a Royal Center for Defense Studies and Research under the College, to which King Mohammed VI entrusted the mission of contributing to the consecration of the strategic approach in the treatment of the problems and stakes of the defense and security system, in its global dimensions, and to create a space of analytical, civil and military skills.
The Director of CREMS also presented to Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan the annual report of the activities of the Royal College, welcoming the good results recorded with a success rate of 100% for the year 2022-2023.
The 23rd promotion of the Higher Defense Course and the 57th promotion of the General Staff Course have 285 laureates, including 56 Officers from 24 brotherly and friendly countries of the Kingdom, namely: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Spain, the the State of the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, and the Republics of Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guinea Conakry, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, DR-Congo, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo and Chad.
