Updated SEA Games women’s football rankings 32: The Vietnamese women’s team temporarily ranked first in Group A.
Women’s soccer at the 32nd SEA Games starts on May 3 with two groups A and B. The Vietnamese women’s team is in Group A with Myanmar, the Philippines and Malaysia. Group B includes Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, and Laos. The top two teams will advance to the semi-finals.
On the first day of competition, the Vietnamese women’s team defeated Malaysia with a score of 3-0. While in Group B, Thailand beat Singapore 4 goals without removing. The remaining matches of the two groups will take place at 19:30 on the same day.

The Vietnamese women’s team aims to defend the 32nd SEA Games gold medal. Despite being in a difficult group, coach Mai Duc Chung is still very confident with this goal.
The Vietnamese women’s team brought 20 players to the 32nd SEA Games. This list is still mainly experienced players, in which the captain role belongs to Huynh Nhu. Chuong Thi Kieu was eliminated at the last minute because she had not fully recovered from her injury.
