Social services: 580,000 beneficiaries since the start of the year

Nearly 580,000 people have benefited from social services since the beginning of the year thanks in particular to the digitization and training of social workers, said Friday in Rabat, Aawatif Hayar, the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family.

Speaking at a meeting organized by the Ministry around the training of social workers and their role in the care economy as part of the 28th edition of the International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEL-2023), the minister recalled the important role of social pole officials in this action, adding that one of the main objectives of his department is to improve and rehabilitate social centers.

In this context, she referred to the pressures generated by the age pyramid, at national or international level, explaining that this strong demand increases the use of social and health services. And to note that the care economy also contributes to alleviating the burdens generated by the care of people with loss of autonomy, on families and women, in addition to the creation of numerous employment opportunities in the private and audience.

For his part, the director of higher education and educational development at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Mohammed Tahiri, highlighted the importance of training the element human, in particular to support the social protection project.

According to Mr. Tahiri, the Ministry of Higher Education is involved in this project through the training of health professionals and with the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family through the partnership agreement on the training of social workers.
