The CNC pulls out the muscle and threatens to suspend Canal + in Cameroon

Canal+ is accused of broadcasting homosexual content.

The National Communication Council (Cnc) signed this Monday, June 12, 2023, a press release warning Canal + about its homosexual programs in the local media.

The CNC asks “the promoters of channels broadcasting in Cameroon programs revealing scenes of homosexuality, prejudicial to good social order, a fortiori to children and young people, to withdraw without delay these programs which violate the law, good morals and customs of our country”, threatens the boss of the CNC, Joseph Chebongkeng Kalabubsu.

The media constable in Cameroon warns that if its promoters persist, they incur “the outright suspension of the media concerned”.

The CNC also reminds Canal+ that this unnatural practice is “proscribed and condemned by Cameroonian law, and that the dissemination in the media of scenes of a homosexual nature constitutes an attack on professional ethics and deontology in the field of social communication. “.
