The Annecy animation film festival, which started on Saturday in France, has several Portuguese productions in competition, including “Catisfaction”, by André Almeida, and “Sr. Passenger”, by Zepe.
According to the announced schedule, in the official competition of short films is “Catisfaction”, produced and directed by André Almeida, made in 3D, without dialogues, between the real and the dreamlike, about a man and his cat.
In the same competition are two Portuguese co-productions by Cola Animation, by Bruno Caetano: “L’Ombre des papillons”, by Sofia El Khyari, drawing on paper, and “Telsche”, by Sophie Colfer and Ala Nunu.
In the “Off Limits” film competition is “Motus”, an experimental short film in ‘stop motion’ by Nelson Fernandes, while in the television film competition is director José Pedro Cavalheiro with “Sr. Passageiro”, a series for children, with a screenplay by Regina Guimarães and produced by Ocidental Filmes.

The film festival, which is one of the most important for animation cinema, is this year dedicated to Mexico and ends on the 17th.
