“But I’ve got to be that upbeat person as well and we want to go out and put that last big performance in,” Stokes stated. “We know there’s a lot of hard work to go into the end of the series.”
He also offered credit to India’s performance. “we set this game up really well, played the way we wanted to, but I give a lot of credit to the way India were able to play the way they did,” he explained. “It just wasn’t meant to be this week.”
Potential Pace Attack Changes for Oval Showdown
Attention now turns to the final Test at The Kia Oval, and potential adjustments to England’s seam attack. Stokes confirmed his own intention to play, but hinted at rotation for the bowlers.
