marvel Rivals Gets Its First Taste of PvE with “Marvel Zombies” mode
Marvel Rivals, the popular team-based action game, is evolving with the introduction of its first-ever Player versus Habitat (PvE) mode: “Marvel Zombies.” This exciting addition arrives on October 23rd and brings the terrifying world of the Marvel zombies universe directly into your gameplay experience.
The new mode is a direct tie-in to the recent Disney+ animated series, promising a familiar yet fresh challenge for players. You’ll team up with three other players to battle relentless waves of the undead.
Who can You Play As?
Several iconic heroes are stepping up to fight the zombie horde,each with unique buffs tailored for this mode:
* Thor
* Magik
* Punisher
* Jeff the Shark
* Blade
Furthermore,you’ll face off against formidable bosses ripped straight from the show. Prepare to confront Zombie Namor and a terrifying Scarlet Witch in her “Queen of the Dead” persona. These encounters will truly test your team’s coordination and skill.
This PvE mode feels like a natural progression for Rivals. Zombie modes were incredibly popular in gaming for years,and this addition feels organic,even without the synergy with the animated series. It’s a welcome change of pace from the core PvP experience.
Currently, NetEase is keeping details about rewards and progression systems under wraps. Though, weeks ago, the developer announced Zombies-themed skins for blade, Spider-Man, and Scarlet Witch. These cosmetic additions are a fun way to celebrate the spooky season and personalize your heroes.
Hopefully, this is just the first of many PvE modes to come. Expanding beyond MCU tie-ins would offer even more diverse and engaging content for the Rivals community.
