A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday morning following a traffic collision on Burnside Road, resulting in the death of a three-year-old child.
Police responded to reports of the crash shortly after 5:00 am, initiating an investigation that quickly expanded due to concerning circumstances.
Initially, a 24-year-old man, believed to have been a passenger in the vehicle, left the scene with a one-year-old boy before law enforcement arrived.
Fortunately, both the man and the toddler were located at an address in Beenleigh around 6:30 am.
the one-year-old was promptly transported to a hospital for medical attention and treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Currently,the 24-year-old man is cooperating with police as they continue their investigation.
Multiple locations have been designated as crime scenes to facilitate a thorough examination of the events leading up to the collision.
