Chaos on Raw Sets the Stage for a Women’s WarGames Match
A volatile scene unfolded on Monday Night Raw, culminating in a challenge for a Women’s WarGames match. Following a dramatic shift in the tag team division, a brawl erupted that promises a fierce showdown.
The Kabuki Warriors – Asuka and kairi Sane – recently captured the Women’s Tag Team Championships, defeating Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. This victory, though, wasn’t clean, as interference from Lash Legend and Nia Jax played a critically important role.
IYO SKY swiftly intervened, rushing to the aid of Flair and Bliss as they faced a continued beatdown from the new champions, Jax, and Legend. Sky demonstrated her power, taking down Legend and then leveling both Sane and Asuka with a stunning double dropkick.
The ensuing chaos reached another level with the unexpected return of Rhea Ripley. Flair, Bliss, and Sky collectively targeted Jax, delivering a series of impactful blows.Ripley then impressively used Sane in a Razor’s Edge, dropping her onto a pile including Asuka, Legend, and Jax.
Donning her signature face guard, Ripley demanded a microphone. Standing partially over the top rope with Sky by her side, she emphatically declared, ”WARGAMES!” as her opponents lay defeated on the floor.
Ripley’s recent absence was due to a nose injury sustained during a match against Stephanie Vaquer, IYO SKY, and Raquel Rodriguez in Japan. Sky herself recently competed in Marigold while overseas.
Earlier in the evening, William Regal officially announced a WarGames match. This came after CM Punk revealed he had assembled his team, which will include Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. They will be facing off against a team led by Paul Heyman.
Here’s a rapid recap of what you need to know:
