Michał Nowakowski, co-CEO of CD Projekt Red, addressed the situation directly on X (formerly Twitter). He expressed gratitude for The Witcher 4‘s nomination in the “Most Anticipated Game” category and acknowledged the enthusiasm surrounding the project.
However, Nowakowski clearly stated that no new content will be unveiled at The Game Awards this year. The studio will still be watching and celebrating alongside fans, but a trailer isn’t in the cards for this event.
Growth Progress & Recent Insights
Despite the lack of a TGA reveal,development on The Witcher 4 is actively progressing. CD Projekt Red has been bolstering its team with key talent, including individuals from the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 team, to accelerate development.
The last glimpse we had of the game was back in June. It’s important to note that this wasn’t fully representative of the final product. CD Projekt Red clarified that the demo was a tech showcase, demonstrating the capabilities of the Unreal Engine 5.
