Walter Hamada‘s 18Hz Productions is expanding its leadership, signaling continued growth and a commitment to delivering compelling horror content. Recent moves include a promotion within the ranks and a strategic new hire, solidifying the company’s position in the industry.
Nick Romano Elevated to Vice President
Nick Romano has been promoted to VP at 18Hz. He initially joined the company as a Creative Executive in 2023, playing a vital role from the very beginning.
Romano is currently an executive producer on several upcoming projects, including:
* Suffer Little Children, directed by Rodrigue Huart.
* Familiar, from Caye Casas.
* The Littles, helmed by Andrew Duplessie.
Prior to 18Hz, Romano honed his skills in development at New Line Cinema. He began his career at ICM Partners’ motion picture literary department and is a Brooklyn College graduate. Furthermore, he’s a respected voice within the horror community, having served as a juror at SXSW, Fantasia, and the Palm Springs ShortFest.
ana Tenewitz Joins as Creative Executive
Ana Tenewitz brings a wealth of experience to 18Hz as the new Creative Executive. She previously worked at Imagine Entertainment as a Development Coordinator for Features EVP Allan Mandelbaum.
Tenewitz’s career path includes roles at:
* Skybound Entertainment.
* untitled entertainment.
* Carol Mendelsohn Productions.
* Prettybird.
She’s also a proven producer of award-winning short films showcased at festivals nationwide. A graduate of Emerson College with a B.A. in Media Arts Production, Tenewitz hails from the Hudson Valley, NY.

Currently, 18Hz is gearing up for the release of Primate, directed by Johannes Roberts. The film,which premiered at Fantastic Fest,will arrive in theaters on January 9,2026. It follows a group of friends whose idyllic vacation takes a terrifying turn when a pet chimp unleashes chaos.
