Beta Film Secures German Broadcast Deals for Five Spanish Series
Beta Film has announced the sale of five Spanish television series to German broadcasters, expanding the reach of Spanish drama in the German market. arte has acquired two series directed by Leticia Dolera: the six-episode drama “Pubertat – Secrets, lies and Human Castles,” described as Spain’s take on the themes of adolescence, and “Perfect Life,” wich follows three women in their thirties navigating unexpected life changes.
ARD’s channel One has licensed the rights to the popular Spanish series “Velvet” and its spin-off,”the Velvet Collection.” “Velvet,” set in 1950s Madrid, centers on a romance between a fashion designer and the heir to a fashion house. “The Velvet Collection” continues the story in 1960s New York.
AXN White has secured the rights for Germany,Austria,and Switzerland to the thriller series “Shades,” starring Elsa Pataky. The six-part series revolves around six patients at a psychotherapy retreat who become entangled in a murder investigation following the death of their psychiatrist.
