KSG Achieves Strong Results at 2nd District Ranking Tournament

Stuttgart, Germany – January⁢ 25, 2026 – The KSG club demonstrated impressive performance at the 2nd district ranking tournament held on January 18,‍ 2026, ​in Stuttgart.The competition featured⁤ both singles and doubles matches,‌ showcasing the talent and dedication of KSG’s players.

Singles Competition

DE A – Women’s Singles

Lara ‌Gerlach dominated the DE A category, securing first place with a flawless run⁣ through the‌ tournament. She achieved two victories in⁢ the group stage ⁤and a decisive win against‍ teammate Amelie Golbs in a⁣ club ‌internal duel. Amelie Golbs finished ⁤in third place after a competitive match for second.

HE​ B – Men’s Singles

Peter Weiß participated in his ⁤first tournament in the HE B category, gaining ⁢valuable ⁤experience against strong opponents. While he didn’t secure a win, his rallies showed betterment⁣ throughout the competition.

HE A​ – Men’s Singles

Patrick Heimann, Frederik Wahl, and thorsten ⁣Schumann competed in the highly contested HE A division. all three players advanced to the quarter-finals, demonstrating their skill and determination. Frederik Wahl and Thorsten Schumann faced narrow ⁢defeats in⁣ the quarter-finals, while Frederik ultimately prevailed⁣ in‍ a direct placement match. Patrick Heimann ​continued his strong performance, winning a ​hard-fought semi-final⁣ and ultimately claiming the tournament title.

Doubles Competition

DD A – Women’s Doubles

Lara Gerlach and Mui Berkemer showcased their synergy in⁤ the DD A category, winning the⁣ tournament without ‌dropping a single set.They defeated the​ favored doubles team in the opening ‍match, establishing their dominance throughout the competition.

HD ​A ⁣- Men’s Doubles

Frederik‍ Wahl ⁢and⁤ Thorsten Schumann ​competed in ‍the HD A doubles category. Unfortunately, ⁤due to Thorsten schumann experiencing a knee injury, they were forced to withdraw from the tournament after two defeats.
