Mérida, the capital of Yucatán, experienced varying temperatures depending on location. Peripheral areas of the city saw temperatures between 11 and 14 degrees Celsius (51.8 – 57.2 degrees Fahrenheit), while more urban areas remained slightly warmer, ranging from 13 to 17 degrees Celsius (55.4 – 62.6 degrees Fahrenheit). These temperature variations are a direct result of the cold air mass associated with the frontal system.
