Saudi Arabia Launches Property Eye Registration in Riyadh and Mecca Regions
Teh General Real Estate Authority of Saudi Arabia has announced the commencement of property eye registration for specific properties in the Riyadh and Mecca regions, beginning February 1, 2026, and concluding on May 7, 2026. This initiative marks a significant step towards modernizing and securing property ownership within the Kingdom.
The initial phase will focus on a portion of the Al-Mughtarah district in Riyadh and a section of the Al-Hudaibiyah district in Mecca. the Authority clarified that these areas were selected based on predefined criteria and that further regions, governorates, and neighborhoods will be included in subsequent phases, with announcements to follow.
Property owners within the designated areas can register their properties through the Real Estate Registry Platform at https://rer.sa/ or by visiting designated service centers. accomplished registration requires a valid property deed that meets all regulatory requirements.
The Authority urges property owners in these districts to verify their property deeds and ensure they meet the necessary conditions prior to the registration period. Facts regarding the registration process is available through the Authority’s official channels and via the customer service center at 199002.
Upon registration, each property unit will receive a unique property number and a registration certificate. This certificate will contain comprehensive details about the property, including its description, current status, associated rights, and obligations, all linked to precise geospatial data. This system is designed to strengthen the infrastructure and promote the sustainability of the real estate sector in Saudi Arabia.
