Asana Integrates AI Teammates with Anthropic’s Claude for Enhanced Project Management
Asana is deepening its integration of artificial intelligence into its project management platform with a full integration of Anthropic’s Claude,moving beyond AI as a simple add-on to an active collaborative teammate. This strategy, unveiled by Asana’s Chief Product Officer, Sachin Bose, at a recent VentureBeat event in San Francisco, aims to fundamentally change how teams work.
AI as an Active teammate
Launched last year, Asana’s AI Teammates are designed to function as integral parts of a team, similar to human colleagues. The integration with Claude allows users to select from 12 pre-built agents for common tasks, such as IT ticket deflection, or to create custom agents tailored to specific needs.These agents are assigned to project teams and instantly gain access to project history – completed tasks and outstanding issues - and also connections to third-party tools like Microsoft 365 and Google Drive.
