The incident, which occurred in the Blenio Valley, escalated when the suspect, who had allegedly killed his former partner in Faido, barricaded himself in a house before triggering an explosion as authorities attempted to apprehend him.
According to official statements from the Ticino Cantonal Police, the sequence of events began with the discovery of a woman’s body in Faido. Investigators identified the victim’s former husband as the primary suspect, initiating a regional search operation.
