She awoke bleeding and experiencing burning and pain. Days later, she was arrested on an unrelated matter, informed officers of her ordeal, and subsequently picked Levy out of a police lineup. The Metropolitan Police noted that withdrawal from drug use meant she was unable to give a full formal statement for another six months, though investigators ultimately linked Levy using DNA, phone and travel card data, and CCTV footage.

Between the January 2025 attack and his final arrest, Levy murdered two women. In March 2025, he traveled to south London and suffocated 53-year-old Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, whose body was discovered face down in a stairwell of a disused block of flats in Southwark. Five months later, in August 2025, Levy smothered 39-year-old Sheryl Wilkins, leaving her body in a car park just minutes from his north London home.

Although supervised nominally by police and probation violent and sex offender register staff, Levy secretly amassed collections of stories about notorious criminals, including John Worboys, Jeffrey Epstein, and Harvey Weinstein.
