Dodge has unveiled the 2027 Charger Super Bee, swapping traditional V8 power for a 600-horsepower twin-turbocharged inline-six. Equipped with standard all-wheel drive, the high-performance muscle car sprints from zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, bringing upgraded turbocharging, chassis enhancements, and a track-focused Launch Edition setup to the lineup.
Marking the 60th anniversary of the legendary nameplate, Dodge pulled the wraps off its most powerful internal-combustion version of the current-generation muscle car during the annual Roadkill Nights festivities. While the Super Bee lineage stretches back to the Coronet in 1968 and the Charger in 1971, this latest iteration discards the traditional V8 engine in favor of a heavily boosted straight-six designed to tackle corners as aggressively as the drag strip, according to reporting from AutoGuide.
Hurricane Inline-Six Engineering and 600-Horsepower Output
Beneath the hood sits a revised version of Stellantis’ 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output inline-six engine. To push output past the standard model’s 550 horsepower up to an even 600 horsepower, engineers fitted larger Garrett turbochargers paired with modifications to the intake system, charge-air path, and intercooler.
Peak torque registers at 531 pound-feet, arriving 500 rpm earlier in the powerband at 3,000 rpm thanks to updated mechanical tuning and engine calibration.
Nearly the entire cooling system has been overhauled to sustain high performance during extended track sessions, featuring a high-temp radiator with cooling capacity increased by more than 50 percent. Power routes through a Torqueflite 880RE eight-speed automatic transmission to a standard all-wheel-drive system.

Dodge states that the powertrain updates result in a vehicle that pulls harder out of corners and charges more aggressively toward redline. The car clears zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and runs the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds, utilizing its standard all-wheel-drive traction. Drivers looking to send power exclusively to the rear wheels can engage a dedicated drift mode that decouples the front axle entirely, sending 100 percent of the torque to the rear tires.
Track-Tuned Chassis and Braking Upgrades
The Super Bee package adds significant hardware changes underneath the bodywork to improve handling on road courses. Engineers stiffened the suspension by increasing front spring rates by 12 percent and rear spring rates by 6 percent. Front tension-link bushing stiffness jumps by 25 percent, front handling-link bushing stiffness increases by 50 percent, and the rear stabilizer bar is stiffened by 20 percent.
Reworked front fascias and headlights increase airflow by 30 percent while adding over 100 pounds of downforce at 150 mph. The setup relies on Continuous Damping Control dual-valve adaptive dampers at all four corners, replacing passive units found on standard Chargers. Stopping power comes from massive 16-inch Brembo brake rotors clamped by six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, providing 27 percent more brake pad area and double the brake fade resistance of defunct SRT Charger models.
Wheels measure 20 by 11 inches and come wrapped in sticky 305/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 summer tires. Two new drive modes, Track and Drag, join the vehicle’s updated dynamic systems to optimize performance for specific environments.
Launch Edition Specifications and Interior Details
Every 2027 Charger Super Bee will debut in a Launch Edition specification, assembled alongside standard Chargers at Stellantis’ Windsor plant in Ontario. Buyers face a restricted order sheet featuring only three exterior paint choices, led by a high-visibility yellow-green scheme named Sucker Punch alongside Shady and Diamond Black, accented by model-specific graphics.
Inside, the cabin features retro-inspired cloth sport seats with high bolsters, body-color Citrus Peel inserts, and embroidered headrest emblems. A flat-bottom steering wheel includes oversized paddle shifters and a bright yellow center stripe. Drivers also get an integrated 1080p video and data recording system built by Cosworth—dubbed the Drive Experience Recorder—designed to log track sessions and telemetry data.
Dodge has not yet announced official pricing or an exact ordering window, though industry analysts expect a premium over the $61,985 starting price of the regular Charger Sixpack Scat Pack Plus.
