According to POST Wrestling, Don Callis revealed during Dynamite that reigning champion Kyle Fletcher will defend his belt in a three-way match against stablemates Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita on August 30.
Callis pitched the pairing as a strategic advantage, arguing that having two members of his faction in the championship bout guarantees the title remains within their collective. Fletcher, however, expressed reluctance, prioritizing his individual title reign over factional dominance. The booking sets up an explosive collision between three elite wrestlers who have traded or held the championship over the past year.
Kazuchika Okada previously held the International belt for an extensive reign of over 300 days before dropping it to Konosuke Takeshita at Double or Nothing in May, as reported by POST Wrestling. Allin defeated Knight for the AEW World Championship opportunity on May 6, but Knight evened the score on July 22 by defeating Allin to capture the TNT Championship using the belt itself as an implement, according to Wrestling Noticias.
