Even then, he doubted his ability to truly compete, believing the sport was beyond his reach.Vaibhav, a cricketer himself, witnessed firsthand the talent Akash possessed. A trip to Jamshedpur, where they observed Ranji Trophy and IPL players at an academy, solidified his conviction. “When I saw them bowling, I was like ‘Akash is faster and better than them’,” Vaibhav remembers.
He proactively sought evaluations from the academy coaches. They were impressed, predicting Akash could reach the IPL, or even represent India, with dedicated effort. This early validation was crucial, but life soon presented unforeseen obstacles.
Tragedy and a Shift in Priorities
Before Akash could fully dedicate himself to cricket, tragedy struck his family. His father passed away in 2015, followed by his elder brother just six months later. these losses left the family without a primary source of income.Consequently, Akash had to put his cricketing aspirations on hold.He invested in a dumper truck through a partnership, utilizing it to earn a livelihood. His mother also received a portion of his late father’s salary,providing some financial stability.
