“What a wonderful and magical bank holiday weekend celebrating my son and his gorgeous new wife,” she shared, even admitting to joining in the fun with an impromptu dance on someone’s shoulders. She playfully noted it was a first for her, questioning if she wasn’t “too old for that!”
Another exciting event is on the horizon: the engagement of her daughter, Lily, to her partner of five years, Felix. With the couple residing in Dubai, speculation arises about a potential destination wedding, perhaps bringing Annabel to the UAE for the celebrations.
A Legacy of Love: Annabel and Mel Coleman
Annabel shares her three children – Amber, Charlie, and Lily – with her late husband, Mel Coleman. Their nearly three decades together were built on a strong foundation of love and mutual support.
Mel, a successful investment banker and passionate yachtsman, sadly passed away in 2023 after battling incurable colon cancer and ultimately succumbing to sepsis. His loss has been profoundly felt.
“It’s been horrendous,” Annabel shared. “mel was my rock. He gave me huge amounts of confidence. I don’t think I’d be who I am today without him, that’s for sure. and he was so funny; his humour is what I miss the most.”
She acknowledges the immense void his absence has created, but remains determined to navigate life with positivity.
She focuses on staying busy and finding purpose in each day.
She understands that nothing can truly replace Mel, but she’s committed to honoring his memory by embracing life to the fullest.
