Investigation Underway Following deaths at Arkansas State Park

A dark ballcap
Sunglasses
Fingerless gloves

A black backpack
He was last seen driving a black, four-door sedan – possibly a Mazda – with a partially obscured license plate. The vehicle may be traveling on State Highway 170 or State Highway 220, which are located in a rural, wooded area with limited cellular service.

Arkansas Department of Parks, heritage and Tourism Secretary Shea Lewis expressed deep sorrow for the victims’ families. “Our hearts are with the victims’ loved ones during this incredibly tough time,” Lewis stated. She affirmed that visitor and staff safety remains the department’s top priority.
Increased ranger patrols have been implemented at Devil’s Den State Park as a precautionary measure. The Arkansas State Police are leading the investigation, with support from the FBI’s Little Rock field office.
