Celebrating Culture Along the Border
The Instituto para la Cultura del Municipio de Juárez (IPACULT) actively participated in the Binational Juárez-El Paso run on January 17, 2026, an event organized by the Dirección General de desarrollo Económico of the Juárez Municipal Government. IPACULT’s involvement aimed to enhance the experience for runners through artistic and cultural expressions representative of Ciudad Juárez.

Throughout the Ciudad Juárez portion of the race, IPACULT established various cultural installations designed to accompany and motivate participants. Activities included performances of customary folk dances,mime artists,appearances by local pachucos (a cultural icon of the border region),and costumed characters (botargas) who energized runners from both the United States and Mexico.
