Young Man Dies in Dubai Fall While Pursuing Photography Passion
A heartbreaking incident in Dubai’s Deira district has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old from Kerala, India. Mohammed Mishal tragically fell from the terrace of a building while attempting to photograph airplanes. This serves as a stark reminder of the risks involved in pursuing photography in precarious locations.
Mishal had been visiting family in Dubai for approximately two weeks, having traveled from Kozhikode district in Kerala. He was staying with his cousins while his parents remained at home. Family members described him as an enthusiastic and dedicated photography hobbyist.
Here’s what we certainly know about the circumstances surrounding this tragedy:
* The Location: mishal was near the airport, a popular spot for aviation photography.
* The Attempt: He reportedly climbed to the top of a multi-story building to capture close-up images of aircraft.
* The Accident: While maneuvering for a better shot, his leg became entangled between pipes, causing him to lose his balance and fall.
* Immediate Response: Following the fall, Mishal was instantly transported to Rashid Hospital.
* Sadly, despite swift medical attention, he succumbed to severe internal injuries shortly after arrival.
I’ve found that passion can sometimes lead us to take risks we haven’t fully considered. It appears Mishal was deeply committed to his craft, but this dedication ultimately led to a devastating outcome.
A family friend shared that Mishal was a civil engineering student, pursuing a diploma at a college in Kozhikode. He is survived by his parents and two sisters, leaving behind a grieving family. Legal procedures are currently underway to repatriate his body back to India.
This incident is notably poignant as it marks the second such tragedy in the UAE this year. In April, a 17-year-old student, Alex Binoy, also died after falling from a building in Abu Dhabi. These events underscore the importance of safety awareness, especially when engaging in activities at heights.
Here’s what works best when considering photography in urban environments:
* Prioritize Safety: Always assess the risks before attempting a photograph.
* Respect Boundaries: Never trespass or enter restricted areas.
* Use Safe Equipment: Employ appropriate safety gear, such as harnesses or secure tripods, when necessary.
* Be Aware of Your Surroundings: Pay attention to potential hazards like unstable surfaces or slippery conditions.
* Don’t Take Needless Risks: No photograph is worth jeopardizing your life.
this is a deeply sad event, and our thoughts are with Mishal’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. It’s a reminder to all of us to prioritize safety and exercise caution while pursuing our passions.
