Dr. Modrau emphasizes​ the importance of proactive​ assessment and management of fatigue following a TIA. “Long-term fatigue was common in our group of study participants, and we‌ found if people experience fatigue within two weeks after leaving ⁣the hospital, it is indeed likely they will continue to have fatigue for up to a year,” he states. This finding underscores the need for healthcare providers to routinely screen TIA patients ‍for fatigue in the weeks and months following discharge.
