Pauly Shore, a comedian known for his unique style, never dictated opinions to his audience, nor did he tell them how to vote.
The son of Comedy Store founder Mitzi Shore, he brought smiles to many through his work on MTV and in films like “Bio-Dome” and “Son-in-Law.”
Now 57 years old, Shore reflects on the current state of Hollywood with a touch of sadness. Recently, Shore and Jamie Kennedy, a fellow comedic actor celebrated for his role in “Scream,” revisited their past experiences on kennedy’s podcast, “Hate to Break It to Ya.”
The two actors discussed shore’s early days at MTV, his connections within the Comedy Store, and the realities of aging in the entertainment industry. It’s a feeling many can understand.
Both Shore and Kennedy expressed concern over the increasing political polarization within Hollywood in the 21st century, a stark contrast to the more carefree atmosphere of the 1990s. The industry landscape has undeniably shifted.
Hollywood has become more insulated now more than ever. What @paulyshore is saying is true. We used to go on every channel and promote and no one cared what ur politics were. Will it be ver go back? The echo chambers are stronger than ever. Tonite at the Golden Globes is a prime… pic.twitter.com/T4vuIx9Ccj

Kennedy has frequently appeared as a guest on “Gutfeld!”, a popular show on Fox News, and Shore acknowledged his friend’s presence in the late-night television sphere. However, this acknowledgment came with a cautionary note.
“There’s simply no path back into mainstream Hollywood if you’re associated with that show,” Shore stated regarding Kennedy’s ties to “Gutfeld!”.
