This ‌ varna holds ⁤a special place in​ Bharatanatyam, showcasing both technical virtuosity and artistic⁣ depth. It’s a ⁤composition ‍born from ​the brilliance of​ the Tanjore Quartet⁣ – Ponnayya, Chinnayya, Shivanandam, and Vadivelu.

The lyrics, “Saami Ninne Kori,” ⁢beautifully portray a nayika’s evolving love for Lord Shiva. initially playful, this affection matures into a ‍profound ⁣spiritual connection, unfolding ⁣across eight distinct‍ ragas.
