Second Chance Animal Services Launches Urgent Campaign to Replace Failing Heating System
EAST BROOKFIELD, MA – January 18, 2026 - Second Chance Animal Services is appealing to the public for immediate financial assistance to replace its critical heating system.A complete system failure has left the adoption center vulnerable during a period of sustained cold weather, jeopardizing the health and well-being of the animals in its care.
A Critical Need for Vulnerable Animals
The Second Chance Adoption Center provides a safe haven for a diverse range of animals, including puppies, kittens, senior pets, and those recovering from medical procedures. “A warm, stable environment is absolutely essential for these animals, particularly those who are already compromised,” explains Lindsay Doray, Chief Development Officer at Second Chance Animal Services.”The complete failure of the heating system presents a serious risk, and while we explored every repair option, replacement is the only viable solution.”
