This move marks a seamless transition for Thomas, who has spent his entire professional career with the team (formerly Team Sky).
The appointment comes as Ineos looks to solidify its competitive edge.The team demonstrated positive momentum in 2025, doubling their race wins from 14 to 28 compared to the previous year. However,a Grand Tour victory has eluded them since the 2021 Giro d’Italia.
In his new role, Thomas will collaborate closely with senior leadership, including Sir Dave Brailsford and Dr. Scott Drawer, to refine race strategy, identify and recruit top talent, and nurture rider advancement.
