The Japan Rugby Football Association (President: Masato Tsuchida, Minato-ku, Tokyo) is pleased to announce that it has been decided to hold the “T1 Rugby Challenge in Aoyama High School” on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in conjunction with the “12th National Women’s Rugby Football Championship Final” to be held at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium.
“T1 Rugby Challenge in Aoyama High School” is an event where anyone can easily enjoy “non-contact rugby”. It is characterized by a simple and safe style of play while retaining the original appeal of rugby, such as lineouts, scrums, kicks, and breakdowns. It can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders, so even those who have never played rugby before or those who are trying rugby for the first time in a while can participate with confidence.
This event is open to anyone over high school age, so if you are interested, please apply as soon as possible. In the morning, you can experience non-contact rugby “T1 Rugby” that anyone can easily enjoy, and in the afternoon you can watch the “12th National Women’s Rugby Football Championship Final” held at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium for free.
The T1 rugby experience held at Aoyama High School will be managed by graduates of the Rugby Empowerment Project’s next-generation leader development project.

In addition, at this event, we will also be recruiting people to participate in a SNS video contest, with the aim of widely disseminating the fun and appeal of T1 rugby. The T1 rugby experience session will be photographed, and JRFU plans to award prizes to the best photos.
