The Karlovy Vary hockey team is experiencing a prosperous season, consistently positioning themselves for a strong playoff run. Currently holding the fourth spot, they’ve navigated the majority of the regular season contending for both direct qualification to the quarterfinals and a preliminary round berth. A recent surge has seen them win four out of their last five games, demonstrating impressive form as we move into January 2026.
Their most recent victory, secured on Sunday, marked the beginning of a three-game road trip through Moravia and Silesia. Karlovy Vary defeated HC Kometa Brno with a final score of 3-2, thanks to a two-goal performance from defenseman Matteo Kočí. This performance substantially boosted Kočí’s season total, adding to a previous goal scored against the same Brno team.
