According to a report by research firm Counterpoint, the market smartphone globally in the first quarter of 2024 is dominated by type flagship from Apple.
Apple’s newest smartphone, namely the iPhone 15 Pro Max, dominates sales smartphone in that period with a market share of 4.4%.
Counterpoint stated that this is the first time the iPhone Pro Max series has occupied the top position.
“This reflects the increasing trend in consumer preferences for smartphone high class,” wrote Counterpoint in its report, Monday (6/5/2024).
Still from the same series, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are next in line with market shares of 4.3% and 3.7% respectively.
Then its predecessor, the iPhone 14, occupied the fourth place with a market share of 1.9%.
Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2024 Samsung will be the only one smartphone Android-based which is included in the global top 10 list.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra recorded a market share of 1.9%, the same as the iPhone 14.
Below it is smartphone middle types from Samsung, namely the Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A54, with market shares of 1.5% and 1.4% respectively.
Then in the bottom three ranks there is the iPhone 15 Plus with a 1.3% share, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S24 and A34 which both achieved a market share of 1%.
