- The payment of the 14th pension is another bonus awaiting retirees this year. We already know the amount that retirees should receive.
- The 14th pension will theoretically cover over 6 million retirees. But not everyone will get an equal transfer, and some will not get it at all.

The 14th pension is a benefit that covers over 6 million retirees in Poland. This is a one-time benefit, so far ZUS has sent it in the second half of the calendar year. We already know how much the maximum transfer amount for the 14th pension will be. However, not all eligible people will receive this much.
The indexation of pensions that took place in March 2024 increased the minimum amount pensions. The lowest statutory benefit increased from PLN 1,588.44 to PLN 1,780.96. This is how much Polish seniors received as part of the 13th pension paid together with the April transfer of the basic benefit. And PLN 1,780.96 is the maximum amount of the 14th pension that will be transferred to seniors’ accounts.
However, not every senior will receive such a transfer. It all depends on the amount of the basic pension. If our benefit does not exceed PLN 2,900 gross, we have a chance to receive PLN 14 in the full amount.
– The 14th pension in the amount of the lowest pension (in force from March 1 of a given year) will be awarded to people whose basic benefit, e.g. old-age or disability pension, does not exceed PLN 2,900 gross – explains the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Policy.
If the senior’s basic pension exceeds PLN 2,900 gross, the 14th pension will be reduced by the PLN of the excess accordingly, under the PLN for PLN principle. In this way, the amount of the pension supplement will be reduced to the minimum amount of PLN 50, which is the lowest possible payment of the fourteenth pension. In theory, every retiree is entitled to this supplement, but in practice some seniors will not receive anything because the amount of PLN 2,900 is too high.
Exclusion from 4 p.m pensions This also occurs in the case of retired judges and prosecutors and retirees who had their benefit payments suspended on the last day of the month preceding the month of the 14th pension. In the latter case, we are talking about people supplementing their early retirement who earn 130%. average salary and more.
The payment of the 14th pension for 2024 should take place on a date similar to those in previous years. Seniors will probably receive their fourteenth pension together with the September transfer from ZUS. The money should reach each pensioner within the usual transfer deadline from the Social Insurance Institution. However, this is only a forecast, because every year from 2021, when the 14th pension was paid for the first time, the month of payment of the 14th pension is determined by an appropriate regulation by the Council of Ministers.
