Robertson acted on a profound conviction – a revelation that the Creator of the Universe would provide – despite a complete lack of initial funding. “I got this great revelation, did I really think the Creator of the Universe could not provide? Of course, He can provide,” Robertson shared. This initial leap of faith led to a first missions trip, followed by a pivotal moment: a Filipino pastor unexpectedly covered the costs of thier second trip to Thailand.
From those humble beginnings, ACM blossomed. It quickly became the largest missionary training center and sending organization in the Philippines, and now stands as one of the most influential in all of Asia. This growth wasn’t accidental; it was a direct result of unwavering faith and a commitment to equipping dedicated missionaries.

Celebrating Sacrifice and Steadfastness
The 30th-anniversary party in Manila brought together ACM-trained missionaries who have tirelessly served in 77 nations, reaching 304 unreached people groups. Their stories are powerful reminders of the challenges and rewards of cross-cultural ministry.
Pastor Danny Bayasen, Philippine Director for ACM, poignantly described meeting a missionary from India bearing the physical scars of persecution. “I embraced one worker from India and you can feel the scars on his back… its a sign of hard work. Calloused hands is a sign of the sacrifice and the hard work.” Bayasen himself understands sacrifice, having spent 20 years ministering in Burkina Faso, West Africa, before leading ACM.
A Future Focused on Multiplication and Mobilization
Looking ahead,ACM isn’t resting on its laurels. Bayasen envisions a future of expansion and increased impact. “now that ACM is 30 years, we are more mature, more experienced… We can say ACM is pregnant and is ready to give birth to international training centers.” He rallied the missionaries with a powerful call to action, echoing Caleb’s declaration in Numbers 13:30: “Let us go, let us possess and overcome!”
Empowering Communities and Sharing Hope
The impact of ACM extends beyond evangelism.Missionaries like Rolyn Cadiz are actively involved in holistic ministry, providing practical support to vulnerable populations. For 17 years, Cadiz has assisted young refugees fleeing the conflict in Myanmar, offering them safety, skills training (including computer literacy and baking), and English language education - all as a pathway to sharing the Gospel.Her vision to establish a school for these children underscores ACM’s commitment to long-term community progress.Robertson responded with a heartfelt prayer for peace and provision for the troubled region, emphasizing the need for both spiritual and physical support.
Investing in Those Who Serve
The anniversary celebration wasn’t just about looking back; it was also about honoring those who dedicate their lives to ministry. Missionaries received practical care, including free haircuts, massages, counseling, and vital medical and dental services provided by Operation Blessing – a tangible expression of gratitude for their years of selfless service. The event culminated in a moving parade of nations, visually representing the far-reaching impact of ACM’s work.
The Compelling Power of Love
robertson’s closing remarks encapsulated the driving force behind ACM’s success: God’s love. He challenged everyone to seek a deeper filling of God’s love, stating, “You can ask God to fill you with His wonderful gift of his love, and that He will not give you rest, day or night, until either you go or you send.”
