“34 soldiers were killed, 11 of them were officers. 40 wounded, three planes were damaged,” the volunteer units said in a statement.

The fighters of the units claim that a strike was carried out on the command post and that the mentioned “Su-27” fighters at the Belbek airfield were damaged by the debris of the downed missiles. “Missiles also flew in the direction of the marines. There are also many casualties,” the militants said in a statement.

Russian authorities say that the attack on Sevastopol caused damage to the transport infrastructure. Mihail Razvozhaev, the “governor” of the area appointed by the occupiers, says that residential buildings were hit three times, and one man died in the strikes.

It has already been reported that two Russian large amphibious ships – “Jamal” and “Azov” – were hit by a Ukrainian missile strike in the occupied Crimea on Saturday evening, the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on Sunday.

The communications center and several infrastructure objects of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol were also hit, according to the Strategic Communication Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The Defense Forces of Ukraine have successfully hit the occupiers’ large amphibious ships “Jamal” and “Azov”, the communications center and several infrastructure facilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol,” the Strategic Communication Center said in a statement.

“Jamal” was commissioned in 1988. The ships of this project are the backbone of the Russian amphibious fleet. The media reported that “Jamal” took part in the operation to capture Crimea in 2014.
