Law enforcement and prosecutors have opened an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, which occurred on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports that a child had suffered critical injuries while playing on a backyard playground structure.

Authorities deployed an Air Ambulance helicopter to expedite potential hospital transport for the 7-year-old victim. Senior Sergeant Anna Oleniacz of the Sanok County Police Command confirmed that the incident took place on private grounds and noted that law enforcement immediately initiated standard investigative protocols. Investigators are scrutinizing a horizontal ladder structure—commonly referred to in Polish as a “pozioma drabinka”—mounted on four vertical pillars designed for children to traverse by hanging from overhead rungs.
Reports from the scene suggest that investigators are analyzing whether a component of this overhead ladder separated or gave way during use, causing the young girl to fall from a significant height.
