Currently, Martin is focused on Christy Martin Productions, her promotional company. She’s organizing a series of 15 fights scheduled for July 11th in St. Augustine, Florida, adhering to strict COVID-19 protocols.While the events won’t generate profit, she views them as a vital way to stay connected to the sport she loves and provide opportunities for other fighters.
Looking Ahead: Building a Future, Leaving the Past Behind
Martin and Holewyne dream of building a remote home, a sanctuary away from the spotlight. For now, her championship belts and memorabilia remain packed away, perhaps destined for a “cool little Hall of fame to myself” at her grandmother’s old coal camp in West Virginia.
