The highly anticipated two-part film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical *Wicked* is nearing its release, and excitement is building.

5 – A New Song

‍ Stephen Schwartz, the original composer, has penned a brand-new song specifically for the‍ film ⁣adaptation.

This addition aims to provide deeper insight into the emotions⁢ and dilemmas faced by the characters in *Wicked: Part One*.‍

Cynthia Erivo shared her viewpoint, explaining, ‍”Stephen [Schwartz] wrote a new song for this part of the story, and it ⁢is indeed so beautiful and fits perfectly into⁢ this emotional turning point in ⁣Elphaba’s life.”

She continued, “It helps us‍ understand the isolation and the weight of her choices, and its ⁢a gift to be able to sing something created solely‍ for this moment.”
