The highly anticipated two-part film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical *Wicked* is nearing its release, and excitement is building.
5 – A New Song
Stephen Schwartz, the original composer, has penned a brand-new song specifically for the film adaptation.
This addition aims to provide deeper insight into the emotions and dilemmas faced by the characters in *Wicked: Part One*.
Cynthia Erivo shared her viewpoint, explaining, ”Stephen [Schwartz] wrote a new song for this part of the story, and it is indeed so beautiful and fits perfectly into this emotional turning point in Elphaba’s life.”
She continued, “It helps us understand the isolation and the weight of her choices, and its a gift to be able to sing something created solely for this moment.”
*Wicked: Part One* will arrive in theaters on November 21st.
