Financial Struggles and Contributing Factors
Unifood, the parent company, initiated the forced liquidation process after failing to secure alternatives to maintain operations. The company attributes its difficulties to the social unrest of 2019 and the subsequent COVID-19 pandemic, which substantially impacted its operational capacity and financial commitments Diario Financiero.
