Poznań, Poland, recently hosted the 34th annual Sobieski Cup, an international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament for athletes under 17. The competition, held in January 2026, drew participants from six nations, including a strong contingent from the Liepaja Complex Sports School of Latvia. The Liepaja team demonstrated notable skill and determination, securing notable results against a competitive field.
