FCE 31 Calls for Increased Female Depiction and Economic Empowerment
Patricia Lyautey-Carcenac, president of FCE 31 (Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises 31 – a network for female business leaders in the Haute-Garonne department of France), is advocating for greater female participation in key economic organizations and emphasizes the importance of financial literacy for sustainable economic independence.
Lyautey-Carcenac stresses the need for women to actively seek leadership positions within organizations like the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI), the MEDEF (the largest employer organization in France), and other professional bodies.“You have to dare to put yourself forward and take on roles within the CCI, the MEDEF, professional organizations. Representation is essential: you can’t transform a system if you aren’t at the table,” she asserts.
She also highlights financial education – understanding balance sheets, cash flow, and remuneration strategies – as a crucial tool for long-term economic empowerment. Regarding the auto-entrepreneur (sole proprietorship) status, lyautey-Carcenac believes it shoudl serve as a stepping stone, “it must remain a stage, not a ceiling.”
In the face of current economic uncertainty in France, FCE 31 is encouraging its members, and all women, to embrace proactive engagement over passive waiting. “You have to launch yourself, surround yourself with support, and join one or two networks where you feel comfortable. Don’t remain alone,” Lyautey-Carcenac advises. She concludes with a call to action: “Join us and let’s commit together to make the success of female entrepreneurs the norm,not the exception.”
Recognition for lyautey-Carcenac’s Work in Patrimony
Patricia Lyautey-Carcenac, head of Lyautey Patrimoine, was recently awarded the Trophée de la meilleure création patrimoniale (Trophy for the best patrimonial creation) at the Grand Forum du Patrimoine. The award, presented by the Ficade group (specializing in professional press and events), recognizes excellence in patrimonial creation nationally. Lyautey-Carcenac expressed her honor and pride, noting the award recognized five years of dedicated work.
the 8th edition of the annual event, held in Paris on January 19, 2026, at the InterContinental paris-Le Grand, brought together 500 professionals from the private wealth management sector, including wealth management advisors, family offices, private banks, asset managers, insurers, and experts.
