Anastasia Makarevich, singer for the pop group Lyцей, married her former husband, lawyer Evgeny Pershin, during a cruise on the Astoria Grande cruise ship. The couple, who share two adult sons, celebrated their silver anniversary after previously divorcing in 2021 to manage property affairs while continuing to live together.
In a surprise move on the open sea, Lyцей soloist Anastasia Makarevich renewed her vows with Evgeny Pershin aboard the luxury cruise liner Astoria Grande. The ceremony took place while the artist enjoyed a musical voyage as part of the Retro FM Cruise, turning what was supposed to be a vacation into a milestone celebration.
Silver Anniversary at Sea on the Astoria Grande
The couple has spent more than 25 years together and shares two adult sons, 23-year-old Matvey and 16-year-old Makar. Pershin explained that the proposal itself happened spontaneously while visiting the island of Rhodes.
The impromptu wedding ceremony unfolded directly on the ship’s bridge. The vessel’s captain officiated the union, wielding the legal authority required to solemnize the marriage at sea, a detail confirmed by Pershin given his professional background in law.
An Unplanned Wedding Dress and a Second Anniversary Date
Makarevich admitted she had no idea her partner was planning a proposal during the Greek island itinerary. However, an intuitive feeling prompted her to pack a bridal gown in her luggage despite having zero inkling of the surprise.
On the actual matter, this year marks our silver wedding anniversary, Makarevich said, noting that while they previously held a marriage stamp in their passports, true bonds rely on closeness rather than paperwork. About the fact that Zhenya prepared such a surprise—made a proposal—I did not know. But for some reason, I took a wedding dress with me. So now we will celebrate anniversaries twice—in April, when the first wedding was, and in July.
Guests Aboard and Future Celebrations for the Family
Approximately 20 people witnessed the floating ceremony, including Makarevich’s colleagues from the group Lyцей, representatives from Retro FM radio, and management from the EMG holding company. While colleagues and industry figures shared in the immediate festivities, the couple’s two sons stayed behind and remained unaware of the wedding while the trip was underway.
The newlyweds plan to throw a larger celebration for their children upon returning home to the mainland. Makarevich noted that the family enjoys hosting major events, leaving open the possibility of turning spontaneous ceremonies into an ongoing family tradition.
