This icy body measures 16 miles across—twice the size of the asteroid theorized to have killed the dinosaurs—and orbits the sun every 133 years, with its next return not scheduled until 2125, as reported by CNET.
As Earth intersects this debris, the remnants collide with the atmosphere at extreme speeds.
