The annual hardware showcase moved away from standard corporate conventions to embrace an entertainment format. Comedian Trevor Noah opened the event by joking that people unable to secure IMAX tickets could simply unfold the new Pixel 11 Pro Fold to watch movie epics on the go, according to EFE. Rather than relying solely on slide decks, Google structured the presentation around casual demonstrations on a set filled with armchairs and studio cameras.

Behind the entertainment, Google detailed updates to its core hardware ecosystem. The company unveiled the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, alongside the Pixel Watch 5 and the new Google Pixel Tag item tracker. Gou told the audience that she assigns specific hues to important contacts, noting that her mother’s favorite color is purple, which signals an incoming call from family when the phone rests face down.

On the software side, the presentation emphasized Magic Capture tools. EFE reported that the feature extracts dynamic action moments from recorded video clips, a capability demonstrated using basketball footage captured near Brooklyn Bridge Park. Google representatives also highlighted artificial intelligence milestones during the event. Rick Osterloh, senior vice president of devices and services, announced that the Gemini AI ecosystem has surpassed one billion active monthly users, positioning it as the fastest-growing product in the company’s history.
