President of the ruling party gave a conciliatory speech during the opening of the ‘Political Year 2024’, which was well received by different segments of Angolan society.

”[A bem de Angola] we can’t just count on those who have an MPLA card, we can’t just count on those who are MPLA activists. We have to count, coexist and work with all patriots (…)”, appealed João Lourenço, as leader of the comrades, during the opening of the party’s ‘Political Year 2024’, in the Camama area, in Luanda.

The party leader, who spoke in front of thousands of party members, friends and supporters, challenged the different MPLA governing bodies to train cadres, aiming to achieve this goal that Angola is the result of all citizens, regardless of party color.

“We have to pay attention to our connection with society. It’s about work, the importance of the work we must do with those who are not from the MPLA, the so-called civil society, where we are, but we are not there alone. We find citizens of other political colors, we find non-partisan citizens, but who are Angolans like us and love Angola as much as we do. And it is this common factor, that we are Angolans, and that we all want the best for Angola that must be better explored by our party”, highlighted João Lourenço, in a speech that is being well received by different segments of society.

And, although he was being heard by thousands of young people who came to the scene, the MPLA president recommended greater organization to the party bodies, in order to have a real understanding of how many militants the party has and who the party must truly count on. .
